Saboteurs and Superpowers
Transform your interpersonal communication with our Superpowers and Saboteurs program, based on Shirzad Chamine’s acclaimed Positive Intelligence framework. This innovative program helps participants identify and overcome their internal communication saboteurs and enhance their communication superpowers.
Alumni of this program have a deep understanding of their communication style, know how to overcome their Saboteurs in order to authentically connect, and are ready and excited to use their knowledge to effectively interact with their team.
The Saboteurs and Superpowers program is a half-day, energetic, interactive experience based on adult learning principles. With a 1:8 coach to client ratio, we create a warm and supportive environment to explore this material.
This program begins before the coaches arrive, when the participants take a brief assessment. This provides a group profile, which the Ignite coaches calculate. On the day of the program, the Ignite coaches share the overall results of the group.
It is helpful to see how the group in the aggregate responds, and it’s also important to note the outliers–people who answered very differently from the group. No one is asked to share their results, but we lead exercises to demonstrate how the different tendencies may show up in say, a group presentation, why that matters, and what to do about it.
In the second part of the program, we break into smaller coaching groups for a “master class” in presenting. Each participant presents a short amount of prepared material, and the Ignite coach works with them. The nature of a master class is that the whole group is involved at all times, learning from the coaching that others are receiving as well as their own feedback.
The new knowledge of the Saboteurs helps inform this session and develop important peer support. It is also useful when developing each participant’s practice plan.
This program is sometimes combined with the Conversational Agility program to round out the group’s interpersonal communication training.
