Presenting with Impact

Public speaking can be the biggest challenge some professionals face in their work lives, limiting their impact and career opportunities. Presenting with Impact coaches clients in concrete tactics that help them gain skills and confidence.
The Presenting with Impact program is designed for eight people per coach, to maximize both the support of a small group and the individualized attention from the coach. Outcomes of this workshop include learning to:
- Communicate a clear, powerful, and honest message in any interaction
- Overcome stage fright or anxiety
- Deliver dynamic and engaging PowerPoint presentations
- Harness vocal power to stand out from the crowd

Fundamentals of Storytelling
Human beings look for meaning in everything around us. Stories are how we make sense of the world.
This means that storytelling is one of the most fundamental methods of communication. When we use stories in a presentation or speech, we personalize our connection with the audience.
Successful stories follow certain patterns and rhythms. This holds true across cultures and across time. Think about fairy tales, TV shows, movies, books…all stories have certain elements in common that make them compelling to us as listeners.
Ignite CSP’s Fundamentals of Storytelling workshop includes:
- An overview of how stories work structurally, and why
- Insight into how stories can serve more than one purpose
- The importance of humor in storytelling, and how (and whether!) to use it
- Brainstorming and crafting a story that exemplifies a core value
- Practicing delivery of the story
The outcome of this workshop is for every participant to have a stable of stories they can draw on that demonstrate their values. We also coach the participants to be comfortable telling the story they worked on, and to be able to apply the fundamentals of storytelling.
The Fundamentals of Storytelling workshop is designed for eight participants per coach, to allow everyone time to develop, share, and practice their stories.

Conversational Agility
When communication breaks down…
We talk all day long. In fact, we talk so much that we take communication for granted. This works well enough until a challenge arises. How do we communicate when there is conflict, or we don’t know the answer, or when we’re nervous?
The Conversational Agility program breaks down the elements of communication—listening, non-verbals, and speaking— and shows participants a new, more intentional way to employ them. We do this through a series of exercises that ask the participants to test drive these skills. The group works together to learn to communicate in this new way, and in the process forms a bond.
We highly recommend that working teams take this course together.
The Conversational Agility course is designed for up to 22 participants. It can be delivered in half-day or full-day programs.
Outcomes from the half-day program include:
- Understanding the fundamentals of communication and how we use them
- Deepened rapport in the participating group
- Participants are prepared for challenging situations as a result of practicing these skills
- Connecting communication skills to specific business opportunities and challenges
Outcomes from the full-day program include:
- Understanding the fundamentals of communication and how we use them
- Deepened rapport in the participating group
- Participants are prepared for challenging situations as a result of practicing these skills
- Connecting communication skills to specific business opportunities and challenges
- A “business lab” in which the team puts all of their new skills to work to innovate in a real-world setting
